HOW THE COMPANY WORKS

What to expect?

Curious? Check out a rehearsal

If you’re interested in trying a Vesnianka rehearsal, we invite you to a rehearsal or two to check it out. There’s no commitment required.

Rehearsals

We rehearse once per week on Mondays from 7:30-10pm and add additional rehearsals as required. We ask that you arrive 15 mins early to change, settle in and warm up so that we may begin on time. We also ask that once you decide to be an Ensemble member, you commit to attending rehearsals weekly. If for some reason you are unable to attend here and there due to vacations, illness or other commitments as they come up, contact the Artistic Directors in advance.

Performances

All dancers are encouraged and expected to take part in performances. Weddings and private functions happen throughout the year. More performances are added in the summer, as we take part in Ukrainian Festivals locally and outside the GTA.

Fundraising

As Vesnianka is a non-profit and there is no fee to dancers, all members are expected and encouraged to take part in Koliada in January. This is always a fun way to celebrate the holidays and get out in the community.
